An adorable little coffee shop called 'The Hub' sits right along the Truckee river, offering a handful of ethically sourced and delicious blends to start your morning (or refuel your afternoon). You will often find bicyclists, UNR students, local artists, tourists, and neighboring residents milling about the outdoor patio and Riverwalk. I am partial to the chai, but the joe is great, too.

Pasta Sisters has been a favorite of mine for a very long time. Chef Paola Da Re brings authentic, mouth-watering pasta to Culver City from her childhood home in Northern Italy. Every dish is a hit. 

The Venetian Water Taxi Wine Tasting in South Lake Tahoe is an absolute dream for anyone that enjoys wine and breathtaking views. The vibes are unreal (gen z, did I get that right?) as you cruise along the glassy waters, learning all about the surrounding area and the history of one of America's most-visited outdoor destinations.

As a temperature-sensitive individual, the idea of lowering myself into 39° water was mortifying. With the encouragement of a friend, I made the plunge. It gave me a noticeable boost in mental clarity and natural energy, along with building my mental fortitude. I highly recommend this treatment to anyone, especially those that are scared to try!

Call me a nerd all you want; Ren Faires are a blast. You get to dress up, eat and drink for hours, watch duels and acrobats, peruse stalls for items you don't need, and sweat through every article of clothing. What could be better? I'll wait...

This is a must-visit destination if you're a fan of Autumn, scary movies, or anything spooky. During the months of September and October, Universal Studios has a nightly transformation into something sinister. 

You read that right. Heated seats, three settings, full recliners. The recently renovated theatres in Downtown Redwood City are a dream for anyone that tends to get cold when attending the cinema. No need to bring your blanket!

Probably one of the most impactful books I've read when it comes to creativity and pursuing your artistic passions. I highly recommend this novel to anyone, however, even if you are not in a creative field.
